Companies Use to Fool You

The All-Day Energy Diet

"Eat your fruits and vegetables" is one of the tried and true recommendations for a healthy diet. And for good reason...

Eating plenty of vegetables and fruits can help you ward off most lifestyle diseases like heart disease, diabetes, obesity, cancer, and more.

The recommended intake is between 5 and 13 servings per day...

Yet, according to the Harvard School of Public Health, if you don’t count potatoes—which should be considered a starch rather than a vegetable—the average American gets a total of just three servings of fruits and vegetables a day (1)!

One of the surest ways to get more vegetables and fruit into your diet is by making a fresh-pressed juice or smoothie. In just a single glass, you can fit in 3-5 servings no problem. But then again, that can be a costly and labor-intense process for many people since you’ve got to:

Buy the organic produce…get the juicer ready…juice the veggies…15 minutes later you’ve got a glass of green juice…clean the juicer…and repeat every day!

Even though vegetable juicing and eating whole foods can't (and shouldn't) be replaced, many people have now turned to green superfood powders as a quick and convenient alternative to ramping up their nutrient intake.

In theory, these drink mix powders are great. I've used them for years. But sadly most greens superfoods companies are deceiving and confusing you without you even knowing it.

Did you know that there are 3 shocking ways that these companies are fooling you into thinking that they’re green supplement is actually helping you?

In fact, once you uncover these little-known secrets you’ll save more money on your grocery bills, wake-up in the morning feeling refreshed, avoid those afternoon lulls, and enjoy peace of mind knowing that you’re finally getting the best quality.
My name is Yuri Elkaim. I'm a New York Time best-selling author, health and fitness expert, and holistic nutritionist. In this eye-opening article I'm going to show you the 3 shocking ways you are being fooled by green superfood companies and the simple strategies you can use to ensure your money is well spent.

But I do have to warn you. What you're about to read is highly controversial. Yet, it's the truth. For years, I've dug around, asked questions, and discovered some startling facts that – up until now – few people have ever considered about these supplements.

So if you’re ready to uncover these alarming findings and how to avoid them then keep reading and let’s jump in.

Green Superfood Cover-Up #1

One Scoop/SeVrving Equals 8-12 Servings of Vegetables And Fruit (LIE!)

How on earth is one scoop or tablespoon of greens powder supposed to provide the nutritional value of a day’s worth of fruits and vegetables?

It can’t!

But that hasn’t stopped the leading companies from making such claims.

Take for instance, this popular greens powder (I’ve spared them the embarrassment of revealing their name) which claims that just one serving (which is just a 12g tablespoon) provides up to 12 servings of vegetables and fruit (“up to” being the operative word)

Here’s the thing:

For optimal health, the latest dietary guidelines call for 5 to 13 servings of fruits and vegetables a day (2½ to 6½ cups per day), depending on your caloric intake. (2)

For a person who needs 2,000 calories a day to maintain weight and health, this translates into 9 servings, or 4½ cups per day.

However, because of their high fiber-to-nutrient ratio, for lettuce and other raw leafy greens, you need to eat TWICE as much – so 2 cups to get the equivalent of 1 cup of vegetables.

In Lie #2 further down this page, you’ll see why that matters when it comes to choosing a good greens powder.

First, let’s continue000

Another popular drink mix claims that a $4 serving provides the exact same nutritional value as $41 worth of fresh produce. FYI – it doesn’t!

Here's what my investigation of their supplement facts label uncovered regarding just one 42g scoop/serving:

  • Provides 300% of your daily vitamin C requirement, yet the claim above shows 4 cups of broccoli, which is equivalent to almost 750% of your daily vitamin C.
  • Provides only 50% of your daily vitamin K requirement, yet the claim above a shows 3 cups of romaine lettuce, which equates to roughly 150% of your daily vitamin K. (And where’s the vitamin K from all those other greens???)
  • Provides 17 grams of protein, yet it claims to have the power of 4 cups of yogurt, which would actually provide close to 50 grams of protein.
I could go on and on.

Frankly, I’m not quite sure how these companies can get away with making such claims and comparisons.

At the end of the day, these gimmicks trick you into believing that you can replace your food intake with just ONE scoop of their “miracle” beverage and that you’ll still get everything you need.

Well, you can’t and you won’t.

Sure they’ll provide some marginal benefit but don’t be fooled by their grandiose claims.

Green Superfood Cover-Up #2

Whole Leaf Grass Powder Is Superior (LIE!)

Ok, this is a biggie. Get this one wrong and you’re literally peeing your money right down the drain on cheap greens powders that provide little nutritional benefit to you.

Why is it that some green superfood powders range in price from $20 right up to $100 – even for the same number of servings?

It's all got to do with how the grasses are grown, prepared and processed. It's the difference between GRASS POWDER and GRASS JUICE POWDER!

Most products use cheaper grass powder by cutting then drying the whole grass. This results in a bulkier powder, which is cheaper, harsher on the throat and has less overall nutrient density. It’s got a gritty texture and is unpleasant to drink.

It’s much like cutting your lawn and throwing the freshly cut grass into water. As you can imagine, the grass and water would separate, taste awful, and not be well absorbed by your body.

After all, whole leaf grass powders still have the fiber intact – which prevents proper mixing and impairs the absorption of the essential nutrients you want from your greens.

Furthermore, most cheap grass powders are cut, processed and dried using standard methods, including spray drying, which damage and denature the enzymes, chlorophyll and nutrients with their high heat and oxygen exposure.

So when you see a greens powder that retails for $20-$30 you should run the other way. These are the very powders that use cheap quality ingredients and poor processing,...and many times aren’t even organic.

Here’s an example of what I mean. This is the #1 selling greens powder on Amazon.com (don’t ask me how):

Notice that it’s not 100% organic…that it’s proud of using cheaper whole leaf greens (grass powder)…and that it even makes those ridiculous fruit and vegetable comparisons.

A true premium green superfood uses more expensive GRASS JUICE POWDER meaning they cut the grass then COLD PRESS JUICE the grass. They then low temperature dry the grass. This results in a richer finer green grass blend with a higher overall nutrient density and is 100% RAW.

When you mix this grass juice powder in water it is bright green and looks alive and fresh and tastes that way too! It mixes into water beautifully and crosses your tongue with a velvety smoothness. That’s what you want.

The right greens should taste wonderfully…not like sludge. And that leads to my final point...

Green Superfood Cover-Up #3

Greens Aren’t Supposed to Taste Good…So Let’s Disguise Them

Yuk! I can’t stand the taste of grass, seaweed-like tasting greens drinks.

I bet you can’t either.

And honestly, you shouldn’t have to settle for that. If you don’t like the taste, then why would you continue drinking it? You’d have to be crazy, right?

In over 10 years of drinking green superfoods, I’ve only used that I really liked. But about 2 years ago, they changed something in their formulation or processing and completely ruined their previous “home run”.

Greens powders don’t have to be like Buckley’s cough syrup. They CAN taste great and be good for you too.

The problem is that many manufacturers that attempt to cover up the taste of their “greens” do so by adding unnecessary artificial sweeteners like stevia (which leaves a nasty aftertaste) or fillers like soy lecithin to mask their ingredients, which also reduce the actual concentration of greens in the mixture.

I’m amazed that not a single greens powder manufacturer has figured out how to use a smart combination of real food – not synthetic additives – to make their drink mix taste great.

So Who Can You REALLY Trust For a 100% Organic, Great-Tasting, and High Quality Greens Powder?

The cover-ups I’ve just shared with you are just the beginning.

So who CAN you trust?

Your health food store? Maybe, but likely not.

Most health food store owners are passionate about what they do but they can only recommend the products that they carry in stock, which means that you’re left in the dark about the BEST options (which are usually NOT found in retail stores).

What about your doctor?

This may offend a LOT of people, but MOST doctors have NEVER been educated about nutrition, let alone the health benefits of greens powders, and have NO clue of what you should really eat to stay lean, young, and healthy.

In fact, one study showed that more than 50% of doctors have LESS nutritional knowledge than their patients. (3)

As you can clearly see, 99% of your available sources don't know the REAL truth about how to choose a high-quality green superfood drink.

That’s why I became so obsessed, spending over 18 months meticulously research, developing, and testing a greens superfood drink mix that has quickly become the best-tasting, purest, and highest-quality product on the market.

All you have to do is click the next page button below and you can quickly and easily replace these misleading and low quality greens powders with the one who’s taste and quality will make your jaw drop - all while helping you conquer your cravings, alkalize your body, and give you day-long energy.

I won’t lie to you by saying that this greens powder can replace your foods – because it can’t (no supplement can). But it can easily become your unfair health advantage when you’re pressed for time or on the go.
